Why We Love Sunday Riley’s A+

Why We Love Sunday Riley’s A+
Look on the top shelf of any self-respecting dermatologist or skincare oracle and you will spot retinol products. However, caution should be applied when introducing it to our skin care routines. It is a powerful product, and so with great power comes great responsibility. Part of that includes patience. It is important that one does not go straight into applying a retinoid, you need to build a tolerance which requires finding the right dosage and product.
And so with that in mind, we are extremely excited to present to you to Sunday Riley’s A+ High Dose Retinoid Serum. It combines 5% retinoid ester blend, 1% liposomal-encapsulated retinol blend, and 0.5% blue-green algae with natural, retinoid-alternative activity. You’ll be glad to know that it is cruelty-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, soy-free, phthalate-free and fragrance-free: winning.
This serum fights the signs of ageing and improves the look of UV damaged and congested skin, revealing smoother and more even toned skin. This product is a great all-rounder from the uninitiated to the retinoid experts and it is able to do that by sharing a handy how to use guide.
For new users they recommend two days on, two days off working up to every other day followed by a hydrating oil or moisturiser.
For sensitive skin apply a hydrating oil before the serum.
And for the pros, use daily in the evenings followed by a hydrating oil or moisturiser.
When to apply retinol treatments is extremely important. They should be applied at night as part of a bedtime routine, this is because sunlight can diminish its power.
Whilst retinol shouldn’t form part of your daytime routine, you should incorporate products that will retain and maintain the benefits of its use: mainly, SPF! Retinol makes the skin more sensitive to UV rays so apply a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher during the day.
